Mode of action :
• Competitive of PABA in folic acid synthesis.
• Inhibit reduction reaction of dihydrofolic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid

• Double action
• Broad spectrum
• Low toxicity
• Lower dosage compared with single sulphonamide
• High solubility

Sulfamethoxazole 40 % and Trimethoprim 8 %

Control and treatment of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria such as Colibacilosis, Kolera, etc
Contraindication : Do not give simultaneusly with nicotinamide or folic acid

100 mg/kg BW/day for 12 – 18 hours/day for 3-5 days consecutively.
Withdrawal time: 5 days
